Green Angel Ventures (GAV) has published its Carbon Impact Report 2025 — a refreshingly transparent look at the real-world emissions reductions being delivered by their climate-focused portfolio.
Highlights (from the report)
- GAV estimates ~449,000 tonnes of CO₂e avoided by the activities of its portfolio companies since it started collecting data in 2018.
- That total is described as up ~70% year-on-year in the latest report.
- They note this is roughly equivalent to taking ~240,000 cars off UK roads for a year.
- The portfolio now includes 50+ companies, with 24 contributing positively to realised greenhouse gas (GHG) impact over the past year and others earlier in development.
What I like about this style of reporting is that it treats climate impact like a measurable output, not a marketing vibe. You can see the aggregate curve, but also dip into the story of individual companies and sectors.
